Grape varieties

Grape varieties

Types of white rose or red wine classified according to the grape variety from which it is produced. The varieties are in fact the basis from which the entire wine industry starts. This is the pillar that actually makes the difference between products. The skill with which a variety is chosen and its mating with the climatic zone and the terroar represent the system of the basic equation of a good product.

Variety Classification

The varieties are clearly divided into two main categories:

  • White varieties
  • Red varieties

Even if we are tempted to believe, rosé varieties do not exist, rosé wines are obtained from red grapes.

Then the classification can be made according to the production estimates by variety, quality and destination:

  • Varieties of wine consumption
  • High quality wine varieties
  • Aromatic wine varieties
