Wine-growing areas in the Romanian wine industry

Romanian wines from all areas and wine regions of the country. Wines from Moldova, Muntenia, wines from Dobrogea, Oltenia, Banat, Crisana and Transylvania. We also mention some categories from Maramures. Obviously all regions have their products, framed as correctly as possible in the quality stages, white, rosé and red wines but also dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet and sweet.

The wine-growing areas are divided into various wine-growing areas, each with its own vineyards, larger or smaller in terms of cultivated area.

Aligoté is the representative variety of the Niculițel vineyard. Originally from the French region of Burgundy, this grape variety appeared at the end of the 17th century, by crossing naturally between the Gouais Blanc and Pinot Noir varieties.
This wine has vegetable aromas of freshly mown grass and reclaimed soil. The taste of ripe white fruit and green apples is balanced by a high natural acidity. At the end, the notes of citrus, wormwood and chicory at the end point to a balanced wine, with a lot of freshness.
